This ride is now fully booked but we can add you to the waiting list in case of vacancies becoming available.
Tracey and Linda have researched and explored another wonderful ride in the lanes of East Kent.
This is a 40 miler on mainly flat, quieter roads and the gravel tracks along the very popular Crab and Winkle Way.
The ride starts from Canterbury and heads north to the coast at Birchington-on-Sea. From here we follow the coastline through Minnis Bay, Reculver and Herne Bay to Whitstable where we turn southwards and head back to Canterbury.
The ride will take around 4 ¼ hours cycling however there will be numerous stops along the way so it is likely that we we shall take nearer 7 hours including coffee and lunch stops.
If you would like to join the ride please email us an and we will send you details of how to join.
Riders will need:
- Bike (obviously) Hybrid is probably preferable
- Spare inner tubes x 2 or more
- Tools to fix simple mechanical faults
- Factor 15 or higher sun-cream (we hope to need it)
- Waterproofs (we hope not to need them)
- Extra jumper
- Sense of adventure
- Sense of humour
We look forward to riding with you.
