Adam at the Bigfoot Cycle Club has arranged a lovely easy ride to some hidden countryside and woods in and around Hayes, plus a stop at a pub (they sell Coca Cola etc as well as beer!), suited to anyone who fancies an easy ride of just 14 miles, or a really easy peasy ride of 6 or less miles

Suitable for young people, adults and children – anyone who fancies a nice easy ride. Open to members and non-members of the the Bigfoot Cycle Club and it’s free! Details attached

What: Mainly off road ride, some sections on quiet roads

Easy Peasy Ride Option – a short, part off road and part quiet road, ride in the Hayes countryside. Up to 6 miles (exact length to suit the kids who come along), no hills, suitable for all ages, reaching Jubilee Country Park, not going as far as Chislehurst.

Family Ride Option – part off road and part quiet road ride to Chislehurst and back, including a ride in Petts Wood, about 14 miles (starts riding with the above ride). Stopping at the Ramblers Rest pub, Chislehurst. This option will include carrying bikes over three railway footbridges, we can all lend a hand to help here (the shorter ride option turns before these bridges).

Meet: Meet at the Panagua Bike shop, 50 Hayes Street, Bromley, Kent, BR2 7LD (www.panaguabikes.com) at 10:15am for 10:30am start for both rides. Longer ride returning around 2-30. Ride will keep together as one group, then split in to two groups if some are on the shorter ride.

Suitable bikes: Suited to normal bikes or mountain bikes, not for those fancy lightweight racing bikes – as terrain a bit bumpy / muddy in places.

Bring: Helmet, spare inner tube, bike lock, drink, snack and some money if you want drinks and snacks at the pub or at the café back in Hayes.

Who can attend / insurance etc: This ride is being organised by the Bigfoot Cycle Club and is open both to members of the club and to non-members, and is free. There is no Bigfoot CC insurance to cover your cycling, you participate entirely at your own risk. We recommend all riders young and old are members of British Cycling, the Cycling UK or the London Cycling Campaign – with at least 3rd party liability insurance. Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. For riders aged 13 to 17 who will not be accompanied by an adult – please contact Adam in advance of the ride at adam@bigfootcc.co.uk . For full “ride rules” please visit the Bigfoot Cycle Club website at http://www.bigfootcc.co.uk

For young riders who are part of the Bigfoot Youth Cycle Club and need a Ride Buddy, please contact Adam on adam@bigfootcc.co.uk

Photographs and Privacy: We will take photographs (and receive photographs from 3rd parties) of the rides and riders – and that these and other details will be made publically available in accordance with our Data Privacy Notices at: www.bigfootgoriding.org

The Small Print: is below, please read, on the day we will have such a sheet for you to complete and sign

More Information: If you have any questions please email adam@bigfootcc.co.uk. If you can email to say you are coming, that would help us have an idea of numbers, but everyone is welcome whether sending an email or not. You can also contact Adam for a route map

Leader: Adam. Adam will lead both rides at the start. He will then keep with the longer ride and will provide a map for those on the shorter ride – which anyway will be retracing it’s route, so no one will get lost!
