We will take the quieter roads via Polehill to Riverhead and visit the reserve. We have discovered a very pleasant off-road path which skirts the reserve so we can avoid Dunton Green. There is a very nice visitor centre at the reserve where we will have coffee.

We will then restart and make our way to Seal again keeping to the quieter roads. At Seal we turn north and cycle to the head of Knatts Valley. This will be quite a tough section of the ride because at Seal we are below the ridge and to reach Knatts Valley we have to get back up onto the downs. We will wait for everyone.

If you haven’t cycled along Knatts valley then you should join this ride for that experience alone. Miles of lovely downhill!!

We will have lunch at the a pub somewhere along the way and then cycle back to Orpington via Eynsford and Crockenhill.

(There is an opportunity to catch the train back from Eynsford should anyone wish to)
