Most certainly do not beware the Ides of March

Irresistible

A pic from the 2014 outing – Irresistible

There will be a pick up point at Norman Park (Hook Farm Entrance) at 0915 and then to Orpington for the main rendezvous.

From Orpington we will take the quieter roads to the top of Polehill and then make our way down Old Polehill to Riverhead and visit the reserve. There is a visitor centre where we can have a tea or coffee.

We will then restart and make our way to Seal again keeping to the quiter roads. At Seal we turn north and cycle to the head of Knatts Valley. This will be quite a tough section of the ride because at Seal we are in the Weald of Kent and to reach Knatts Valley we have to get back up onto the downs. We will avoid the Kent mega hills and we will wait for everyone.

If you haven’t cycled along Knatts valley then you should join this ride for that experience alone. Miles of lovely downhill!!

We will have lunch at Farningham and then cycle back to Orpington via Eynsford and Crockenhill.

(There is an opportunity to catch the train back from Eynsford should anyone wish to)
