This ride is weather dependent and so subject to last minute changes. Please email us to reserve your place and so we can contact you in the event of a change of our plans.

This is a combination of two of our popular London Rides.

Adorn your bike with baubles, break out the tinsel and join us for this festive ride. You can either take the train home or join us for the return ride.

Firstly we will cycle to London and at the Elephant and Castle we will join the North/South Superhighway and ride through Farringdon to Kings Cross. We will then cycle back down the North/South Highway to Blackfriars. Were we will join the East/West Highway and ride to Hyde Park where we can have some lunch – bring your own or buy from the cafe.

After a latish lunch we will visit the lights in:

Oxford Street
Bond Street
Regents Street
Piccadilly
Trafalgar Square
The Strand
Covent Garden

We will then cycle to Tower Bridge, St Katherine’s Dock and The Isle of Dogs to connect with the Greenwich Foot Tunnel and the Waterlink Way to get us back to Bromley.

Mileage will be approx. 20-25 one way or 35-40 returning to Bromley at a very leisurely pace, .

Please register by emailing using the link at the top of the page.

Clearly this is an evening event so you will need lights.

Please bring

  • bike obviously
  • a spare inner tube or two
  • tools to make minor repairs and adjustments
  • pump
  • snax
  • warm clothes (extra layers would be a sensible precaution)
  • waterproofs
  • spirit of adventure
  • sense of humour
  • baubles
  • bling
  • tinsel
  • irritating squawk box to play festive tunes
  • if you have some Lycra cycling kit then you won’t be needing it for this ride

Finally on the way home: Christmas drinks in the Shortlands Tavern if it’s not too late
