Led ride programmes catering especially for the novice:
Bigfoot Bike Club, Hayes, provides 6 different levels of mainly rural road and off-road rides, beginning with occasional family rides,
and every Saturday morning road rides with 5 levels of difficulty.
Central London CTC, offers graded & newcomer rides; specialises in all day countryside rides; most rides use trains
GS Avanti, while a traditional cycling club, offers beginner & intermediate rides on Saturdays at 10am
Catford Cycling Club offers introductory Saturday rides of 16 miles with a stop in the middle, from  Farnborough
London Riders, a Yahoo e-group listing London Cycling Campaign and Cycle Touring Club London weekend rides
