Eynsford Circular Ride

Saturday 7 Sept 2013

We had 6 riders: Trevor, myself, Geoff & Eileen from Beckenham, the famous Bermondsey Bill from… Bermondsey and Chris from New Cross ( Edinburgh originally ).

The ride started with a rather long climb up to Romney Street, the first of quite a few ascents! Lunch was at the Ship in Cobham (after 20 fairly gruelling miles) – possibly the best value place I have ever led a group to for lunch, nothing fancy mind you.  The post lunch bit was actually the best – views wise, as we gazed out towards Dagenham and Canary Wharf from a lane that had virtually no traffic on it . We did stop at the Plough in Eynsford for post ride drinks and some rather tasty pizzas , a rather upmarket venue, but the food is good as is the drinks selection.

I will run this ride again.
