Infrastructure Bill

A long campaigned for walking and cycling amendment has been added to the Infrastructure Bill, which is currently under consideration in the House of Lords. The amendment is unlikely to be overruled when the bill returns to the Commons and is expect to become law before the general election in May.

The amendment is a significant step towards safer cycling; if adopted, the proposals will see the Government obliged to set a Cycling and Walking Investment Strategy for England.
