Public Meeting – Bromley: a Borough for its people

How can we make it happen

(+ Group Quarterly Meeting)

Place:  St Peter and St Paul Church hall, Church Rd., Bromley BR2 0EG View Map

Date and time:  Monday 16 July 2018, be there at 7.00-7.15 pm for 7.30 pm start

A meeting to discuss how Bromley makes best use of TfL funding to improve the urban environment and maximize active and healthy modes of travel.

The Mayor of London is prioritising this in his Transport Strategy, and TfL is funding it in diverse ways, notably through the ‘Liveable Neighbourhoods’ programme. In 2017, seven boroughs won a share of £114 million, and Bromley intends to bid in 2018.

We shall hear expert opinion as to how Bromley can formulate a winning bid. There will three main speakers, including:

  1. Angus Culverwell, Head of Traffic and Road Safety at Bromley Council
  2. Hassan Mohamad, TfL lead on the Liveable Neighbourhoods Programme
  3. Terry Patterson, Chair of the London Cycling Campaign (LCC)

The meeting is also the Quarterly Group Meeting of Bromley Cyclists. This part of the meeting will be very brief so please don’t be put off coming by this. We will be considering the minutes of the last group meeting and the group’s June accounts for approval.
