We had 6 riders : Trevor , myself , Geoff & Eileen from Beckenham , the famous Bermondsey Bill from…Bermondsey and Chris from New Cross ( Edinburgh originally )

The ride started with a rather long climb up to Romney Street , the first of quite a few ascents! Lunch was at the Ship in Cobham ( after 20 fairly gruelling miles ) – possibly the best value place I have ever lead a group to for lunch , nothing fancy mind you . The post lunch bit was actually the best – views wise , as we gazed out towards Dagenham and Canary Wharf from a lane that had virtually no traffic on it . We did stop at the Plough in Eynsford for post ride drinks and some rather tasty pizzas , a rather upmarket venue , but the food is good as is the drinks selection . I will run this ride again
